Jimmy Crespo is most recognized as the lead guitarist and co-writer of Aerosmith from 1979 – 1984 after the departure of Joe Perry. Jimmy formed a writing partnership with Steven Tyler during his years with the band, co-writing and producing the “Rock In A Hard Place” album. After his work with Aerosmith, he toured for several years as lead guitarist for Rod Stewart. He has also recorded or performed with major acts such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck, Billy Squire, Stevie Nicks, Bon Jovi, and others. Steven Tyler says, “Jimmy is one of the best guitarists I’ve ever known.”
